    This month we take a look at two meanings of the expression on the way out:

    on the way out: Near the exit.

    “If it’s raining, take one of the umbrellas on your way out.”

    on the way out: Going out of fashion, becoming obsolete:

    “Big cars are on the way out. They have no future. People now prefer smaller, more economical cars.”
